1. Who we are

HandNote Pro ("we", "us") operates the HandNote Pro mobile and web application. Contact: support@handnotepro.in.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, profile photo (if signing in via Google).
• Content you upload: PDFs, images, typed text and instructions you provide to generate notes.
• Generated content: the handwritten notes our AI produces from your inputs.
• Usage data: device type, app version, crash logs, anonymous analytics.

3. How we use your data

• To generate, store and let you re-download your handwritten notes.
• To authenticate you and prevent abuse.
• To improve the app's reliability and features.
• To send important service emails (account, billing, security).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded content to train third-party AI models.

4. AI processing

Your inputs are sent to AI providers (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) solely to generate your notes. Providers may temporarily process this data to fulfil the request and do not retain it for training under our agreement.

5. Storage & security

Data is stored on encrypted Lovable Cloud infrastructure. Files and notes are protected by row-level access rules so only you can read them. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

6. Sharing

We share data only with: (a) infrastructure providers strictly to operate the service, (b) payment providers when you upgrade, and (c) law enforcement if legally compelled.

7. Children

The app is intended for students aged 13+. Children under 13 should use the app only with parental supervision and consent.

8. Your rights

You can access, edit, export or delete your data at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing support@handnotepro.in. Account deletion removes all your notes and uploaded files within 30 days.

9. Permissions (Android)

• Internet: required to sync notes and call AI.
• Storage / Photos: only when you choose a file to upload.
• Camera: only when you tap "take photo" to capture a textbook page.

10. Changes

We will notify you in-app or by email about material changes to this policy.
